Trams have now reached North Pier in anticipation of services restarting to this point on Good Friday, 22nd April. Here, 147 is in use on a conductor training course on 21st, and has ventured to the current northern limit of operations, stopping just short of the new south junction for the future Talbot Gateway line.
With only a few hours to go before passengers will be carried again, the fencing seen here needs to be removed, and temporary tram stops put out.
Information suggests that four service cars will be provided, which will be supplemented by a possible two specials each day over the Easter holiday period. Trams believed to be available for use are: 147, 600, 632, 641-648, 711, 715, 717, 723, 719 and 762. Of these, 648 and 762 are in new vinyl advertising liveries for 2011, for the Hounds Hill Shopping Centre and the new Nickleodeon Land at the Pleasure Beach respectively.
