Prototype Boat Car 600 of 1934 returned to use on 25th September following a full refurbishment in Blackpool Transport's workshops. The rebuilt 600 has been equipped with a low voltage system which has allowed for the fitting of transponders, so that the tram may operate over the full system, and halogen headlamps and trafficators also now feature.
