Two trams ran on test on 24th August: Oporto 273 made its first trial run since arrival when it ventured to Bispham - the first foreign tram to ever run on the Blackpool tramway.
Also, the Lancastrian Transport Trusts preserved Brush Car 632, made a test run to Little Bispham after being fitted with an invertor and transponders which will now allow its use all the way to Fleetwood. The tram has not been fitted with halogen headlamps or trafficators. Following its successful test the tram immediately returned to use on specials and will hopefully now see much more use. 632 advertises the Blackpool Tram Shop at North Pier.
