Brush Railcoach 634 was extracted from the depot for a final outing and inspection by its new owners on Saturday 31st october. The tram is soon to be removed and transferred to its new home at the Rushden Transport Museum in Northamptonshire (see http://www.rhts.co.uk). 634 operated along Blundell Street and Hopton Road for the benefit of RHTS members.
634 was withdrawn from service as part of the fleet reduction at the end of 2004 and has rarely ventured out of the depot since. The new owner intends to repaint the tram back in green and cream. It was last overhauled in 1987/8 after an accident and was refurbished with flush mounted glazing, but retained swingover seats.
The car is expected to leave Blackpool during November.
